Editing files and file properties

Download files from a library to edit them. You can also edit file properties for a file.

To edit library files, complete the following steps.
  1. Open the library that contains the file and click the name of the file.
  2. Optional: Click Check Out to lock the file.
  3. Work with your file, select one of the following options
    • Click Download to download the file and save it to your computer.
    • If HCL Connections Docs is deployed and the file type is supported by the HCL Docs editor, click Edit in Docs.
    • If connectors are enabled, click Edit on Desktop and edit the file on your desktop.
  4. If you downloaded the file, edit the file on your computer and save your changes.
