Contributing to a community blog
Contribute your ideas in community blog or comment on the ideas of others.
Blog permissions
- Author - lets you post entries to the blog.
- Draft - lets you save draft entries only.
- Viewer - restricts you to reading blog entries.
Creating a blog entry
Contribute to your community blog when you have author or draft permission as follows:
- Click New Entry in the Blog section of the community's Overview page.
- Enter a title for your entry, click Add Tags to add keywords
- Enter your content in the rich text field provided.
- If you want to, click Advanced Settings to control settings such as delaying posting the entry to the blog until specified time.
- Click Post to publish your entry, or Preview to review your entry When you have draft permission, the options available are Submit for Review and Save as Draft.
Commenting on blog entries
See a blog entry that you like? If the blog is set up to accept comments, you can respond to an
entry with your own thoughts.
- Click the entry that you want to respond to, then click Add Comment.
- Enter your comment in the text box.
- If you want, select Add this as a new entry/idea in my blog if you want to add your comment as an entry to your own blog.
- Click Submit to publish the comment.
Tip: If the blog's comments are moderated, someone must approve the comment before
it is displayed.
