Make it easy for readers to browse and find content by adding a table of contents to the page.

About this task

The table of contents is generated by a macro that extracts text that is formatted as Heading 2, 3, and 4. When you view the content as HTML Source, these headings are defined in <h2>, <h3>, and <h4> tags. The table is automatically updated when you add or remove content that is tagged with these headings.

Procedure

Create or edit a wiki page.
Place the cursor where you want the table of contents to be displayed.
In the editor toolbar, click Macros > Table of Contents.

Note: If the Macros list is not available, ask your administrator to enable it.
