Using the Recommendations app

Find communities that interest you using the Recommendations app.

Before you begin

You must be logged in to see the recommendations provided by the Recommendations app.

About this task

The Recommendations app recommends public and moderated communities for you to join based on your existing community membership, network connections, status updates, and tags.

The app displays a list of communities and information about the ways in which you are already linked to those communities. For example, one of your network contacts might have recently added content to a recommended community. Or you might have used a tag that has been added to a recommended community.

You can use the information provided by the app to help you decide whether to join a recommended community. If you are not interested in the community, you can remove the recommendation.

Procedure

Use the Recommendations app in the following ways.
  • Hover over the links under the community titles to find out more about what you have in common with the community.
  • If a community interests you, click the community title to open the community and join it, or to browse its content.
  • To remove a recommendation, click Remove recommendation next to the community name.
